Trade Secrets

Welcome to our November newsletter.

And in keeping with Daniel Craig’s latest outing as 007, we thought we’d let you know that we are also really good at keeping secrets too!

We work with numerous clients in a very discreet way by invisibly delivering their social media campaigns for them as well as producing top secret feasibility studies too.

But one project that we are proud to shout from the rooftops about is our work with Bamboo Touch, a strategy, trading name and brand identity we have developed for a wonderful local charity.

We hope you find this month’s articles interesting and if you would like to chat about how we can help you get noticed then please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Your Fiona, Janice and Fiona

Bamboo Touch

The Lavender Touch Charity has been providing invaluable support to cancer patients in the Borders since 2003. They approached us to help them take an innovative new sleepwear product to market and create a memorable trading name and contemporary brand identity for the product.

After close consultation with the team, we developed a marketing strategy and brand plan with key recommendations as how to launch the new product and take it to market. As a result the Bamboo Touch brand was born, fully encompassing the key values and strengths of this unique sleepwear product which is made from 100% Asian bamboo cotton.

We are proud to be associated with a product which has been designed by a patient who has used her personal experience to create something which is truly life changing. This is a ‘More than Profit’ initiative.

“We have had the pleasure of working with the girls at Bright Light Marketing over the last year and have found them to be extremely professional, supportive and helpful.  We faced the challenge of coming up with brand names and marketing strategies for new product ideas for our cancer charity/ enterprise company and they made this a very easy process. We are delighted with the end results and their commitment to the project”.

It’s a Secret

Like any business Bright Light Marketing is proud of the clients that we work with and love to talk about them in our communications. It makes our clients look good and showcases the work that we do. But there is some work that we do that we keep 100% quiet about.

This includes all our Social Media work. Bright Light Marketing work for a range of clients from business to business, mail order, retail, tourism and textiles. On a daily basis Bright Light Marketing pro-actively run Facebook and Twitter campaigns for these clients. We update both mediums regularly daily, respond to any customer communications and pro-actively target new followers. This has resulted in increased business for the clients that we work with for example a retailer selling stock specifically mentioned on social media, a tourism operator successfully attracting people to an event and in business to business running a successful recruitment campaign. This is done in close consultation with the businesses concerned and all done in total confidence so that the targeted customer rightly believes that it is the business concerned communicating on social media not a marketing agency.

We also carry out feasibility studies for businesses in complete confidence. We have again done these for a range of clients. Some who want to look at the market for a new venture, others who want to expand their product or others who are looking at new markets for their business. We produce comprehensive plans that fully look at the potential for the business concerned including identifying target customers with potential numbers for the short, medium and long-term, background research and competitor audit looking at best practice worldwide and finally an easy to follow communications plan. These plans have allowed businesses to assess a market place, apply for grant and bank funding and launch new businesses and products. All done in complete confidence and in close consultation with the business.

We do like to shine a light on our clients but we also know when to keep things a secret. In other words we are a business that you can trust.
